STRATFORD · GOLD CARD FIELD GUIDE

Does paying the Gold Card fee give a Stratford applicant any immigration status?

THE DIRECT ANSWER

No. The nonrefundable processing fee buys consideration, not status or eligibility. Vetting follows the fee, the gift follows successful vetting, and residence is then pursued under the existing EB-1 or EB-2 classifications subject to their requirements, to admissibility and to visa availability.

Nothing in the sequence converts a payment into an outcome

The structure is easiest to understand as a series of gates, each of which has to be passed on its own terms. The fee opens the first gate and nothing more. Vetting is a government process whose result Marielle does not control and cannot purchase.

The gift, when it arises, is a payment to the U.S. government rather than a qualification, and it does not satisfy any requirement of the category through which she would then proceed. Those categories are the ones that actually confer residence, and they have substantive requirements about a person's record and standing that a charter operator may or may not meet.

Admissibility is assessed separately again and is unaffected by any of it. The honest first step, before a dollar moves, is an assessment from a licensed U.S. immigration attorney of whether the underlying category is realistically available to her.

If it is not, the framework offers no route around that.
